ACCULINK

It is a pre-mounted self-expanding nickel-titanium (Nitinol) stent with open cell design and high adaptability to the arterial morphology.
A minimum foreshortening of the stent is reported.
The delivery system (132cm long) has an internal hypotube and works on a rapid exchange system, 0.014" compatible, with a low profile (5.9 Fr).
A minimum 6Fr introducer sheath or a 8 Fr guiding catheter, no longer than 100cm, is required.
Two radiopaque markers are placed on the shaft to mark the stent location. The stent is deployed using a pullback handle; once deployment is initiated the stent cannot be repositioned or recaptured.
To avoid complications, it is advisable to re-advance the sheath and relock the delivery system before removal of the sheath or of the guiding catheter.
Both cylindrical and tapered configurations are available to fit different arterial morphologies.
