EMBOSHIELD NAV6
This system has been conceived to be used as a wire and embolic protection to remove debris during CAS procedure.
The lesion is crossed with a 0.014" coated stainless steel wire with a 3 cm platinum/nickel radiopaque tip, without the filter.
The wire presents a 0.019" step that acts as a distal stop for the filter.
The filtration element is deployed through an Rx delivery catheter, 135 cm in length with a crossing profile of 0.0365" or 0.0415 according to the filter diameter.
The filter is released by pulling the handle placed at the end of the delivery catheter.
The filter consists of a nylon membrane with an internal nitinol frame. There are two proximal entry ports and multiple distal perfusion pores.
The filter is available in two different sizes : Small (2.5-4.8 mm vessel) and Large (4.0-7.0 vessel).
At the end of the procedure the filter is removed using an Rx retrival catheter 139 cm in length with a diameter of 0.067".
A pair of silver markers are located in the distal part of the catheter to facilitate the filter removal.
One of the main characteristics of this system is that it allows wire movement while the filter is in place avoiding any filter's movement.
This system should be used with an introducer or a guiding catheter with an internal diameter >= 0.070".
The filter requires a very short parking length: 19.0 and 23.0 mm respectively for the small and large version.
