MO.Ma

It is based on "proximal flow blockage".
A single device with two independent occlusion balloons is advanced in the CCA.
One balloon, up to 13 mm, occludes the CCA while the other, up to 6 mm, occludes the ECA, completely interrupting the antegrade blood flow from the CCA and a potential retrograde blood flow through the ECA.
A minimum 8 Fr introducer sheath is requested for the introduction of the shaft that presents a distal profile of 5 Fr.
Distal embolization is avoided by the complete stop of the flow at the level of the ICA.
After treatment of the lesion, blood is aspirated with a syringe through the working channel of the guiding catheter.
