PRECISE PRO RX
It is a self-expanding, nitinol (nickel-titanium alloy) stent extremely flexible
composed of fine mesh tubular prosthesis, which achieves its unconstrained
diameter upon deployment into the carotid arteries.
An open cell design grants a high flexibility to this stent that proves to be fit
even for extremely tortuous vessels. In addition this stent can be considered
"self-tapered" because its design makes it particularly suitable for patients
whose CCA and ICA calibres are different.
The New Precise Pro Rx is constrained within the space between the wire
lumen and the distal section of the outer sheath.
The stent is deployed with a "pin & pull" mechanism by retrieving the outer
sheath.
Two markers, at the proximal and distal end of the Precise Pro, allow a correct
deployment of the stent that is achieved when the outer sheath radiopaque
marker is proximal to the inner shaft marker.
The stent shaft presents a very low-profile with high pushability and a unique
coil inner shaft design avoids any stent movement during the releasing phase
A 5 Fr introducer sheath or a 7 Fr guiding catheter is required when a 5 to 8
mm Precise Pro stent is used. Instead for the 9 and 10 mm Precise Pro a 6 Fr
introducer or an 8 Fr guiding catheter is needed.
The stent is MRI safe and does not interfere with the operation of an MRI
device with no imaging artefacts.
